Yankeetown Elementary has an active Parent-Teacher Organization (YES/PTO) which provides a wide range of opportunities for parents to get involved with the education of our children. Every year we raise funds and organize several activities for the students and teachers such as "Helping Hands Days", class parties, scholarships, appreciation lunches/treats, and the very popular Spring Carnival.
While YES/PTO is charged with raising the funds to execute these many programs, our true purpose is based in the commitment to build a community where students can develop a strong foundation through growth in academic and social confidence while providing better communication between the home and the school.
We have all heard that it takes a village to raise a child and we can't do it without the support of a great network of caring parents that realize the importance of volunteering for Yankeetown. If you would like to help us create an environment where administrators and teachers can deliver the best education for our children, please contact anyone on the YES/PTO Board and we will find a way to bring you into the Yankeetown family.
Together, we can make a difference at our school!
